ABOUT

  • The purpose of our student organization is to help educate pre-dental students about the application process, DAT exam, interview procedure, scholarships, and financial aid. We also utilize this association to help organize our efforts to help our dental community through volunteering and fundraising events.

  • Come to our meetings and events to learn more about becoming a dentist and to network with other students who share similiar interests. We will answer any questions you may have! You do not have to be an official member to attend but, if you wish to receive our emails register on OwlCentral today! You can find a link to OWLCentral under the opportunities tab. When you get to our page click "Join Organization."

  • Links to our official facebook, instagram and OWLCentral can be found in the footer of each page.

  • We are here to help our members. Prepare them. Educate them. Guide them.

To be considered an official member of this association you must meet a minimum amount of "points" by the end of each semester. Please refer to the document to the left for more in depth information. This system helps show us who is dedicated to the organization, determine future officers, and give priority for things such as volunteer events. Email us at predentfau@gmail.com if you have any concerns.

Hemna is currently a sophomore at Florida Atlantic University and is majoring in biological sciences. She is also the Director of Sponsorships, and Food and Beverage for Relay For Life. She can read and write in two languages and wants to travel the world one day.

I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in spring 2017, and am currently taking dental school prerequisites. My mom, aunt, and uncle are all dentists, so I’ve been around dentistry my whole life.  I am currently applying to master’s programs to then follow up with dental school. I am a member of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity. Besides dentistry, I love anything having to do with music, traveling, and brunch. I am also absolutely obsessed with dogs.

I am a sophomore and plan to graduate in Summer 2019. My major is neuroscience. My mom and step mom are both dentists and my dad has a software company for dental offices so i’ve been around dentistry my whole life and love that i’ll be able to help people in the future and anyway I can now. When i’m free from schoolwork, I love working out, traveling, shadowing/volunteering, and food.

My name is Keily Borgelin. I am a passionate, determined and motivated undergraduate student aspiring to complete my Bachelor's degree in Biology here at Florida Atlantic University. I am a proud member of Omicron Delta Kappa and a current National Science Foundation LEARN Scholar. My hobbies include playing the bass guitar, baking and cooking, playing sports and traveling.

I am currently a senior at FAU majoring in biology with a minor in psychology. I plan on applying to dental school this summer 2018 in hopes of pursuing my dreams of becoming a dentist. I became interested in dentistry in high school when I began working in a dental office after school. Aside from school I spend most of my free time either working, going to the gym, or playing with my kittens! I also enjoy watching various medical shows, my favorite is Grey’s Anatomy!

I am a Junior at FAU planning to graduate December 2018 with a BS in biological sciences. I have been a dental assistant since 2013 in various specialties, but currently working for an oral surgeon. Last year I went on a medical mission trip to Nicaragua and it opened my eyes to how rewarding it can be to give time and service to a struggling community near or far. In my free time I enjoy volunteer work, running, going to the beach, and trying new restaurants.
